Old Government House is a part of the QUT Venue Collection, a curated selection of premium and unique venues at QUT's vibrant Gardens Point campus in Brisbane's CBD.
One of Queensland's most important heritage buildings, Old Government House was the original seat of power and social hub of colonial Queensland, and the official residence of the Governors of Queensland up until 1910. Now over 150-years-old, the original sandstone façade is complemented by a thoughtfully-restored classic interior, while surrounding lawns add a distinctive charm and serenity to the grand old building.
Reminiscent of a more genteel time, The House is a refined choice for weddings and special celebrations or corporate events.
