William Robinson: Reflections explores the transformative moment when William Robinson discovered the artistic possibilities of multiple perspectives. From shimmering creek beds to mist-laden rainforests, the exhibition reveals Robinson’s masterful use of water as both subject and metaphor—honouring a visionary who helped shape the language of Australian landscape painting.

William Robinson Gallery and our sister gallery, QUT Art Museum, are two of Queensland’s premier visual art institutions, situated in one of the CBD’s premium locations on the Brisbane river. Open Tuesday to Sunday, QUT Art Museum offers a diverse suite of in-house curated exhibitions drawn from the university’s extensive art collection as well as commissioned art projects, and touring exhibitions.

The William Robinson Gallery is situated in historic Old Government House, next to the Botanic Gardens in the Brisbane CBD.
